Giving to Creating Solutions

The work of Creating Solutions depends on your support, financially, philsophically, and through your sharing what works and what doesn't work for your child and family. The orange links above and list of ideas below offer ways you can support the work of Creating Solutions.

The Gifts of Celebration program is a fun way to celebrate an accomplishment, an annivesary, birthday, or the life of someone you love.

We're still establishing hte fundraising packets program. If this is something you are interested in, please send an email so we can create the tools you need for a successful event.

One way to provide immediate support is to donate to "Head for the HILLS, Joan!" biking event (see next column). The more donations received, the less likely I will be to whine. Save my family - give generously.

We appreciate all that you have given to support this work over the years and are excited about continuing to serve you.

Below is a description of our two most prominent projects, thanks to your support.

What Can YOU Do?

Create or participate in your own fundraising event to raise money for Creating Solutions. There are many easy ideas that you can start to raise funds right away for a great mission. Involve your child to make it a family or community activity.

  • Participate in an event in your area: a run, walk, bike ride, triathalon.
  • Ask people to give donations to Creating Solutions for your birthday, wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, confirmation, graduation, or any other celebration.
  • Ask people to support you while achieving your own personal goal or learning a new skill by giving gifts to Creating Solutions.
  • Help your child setup a real or virtual lemonade stand or bake sale.
  • A girl scout troup, boy scout troop, 4-H club, or other community service group can undertake a community service project to raise money.

Head for the Hills, Joan!

A fundraising event

I have lost my mind.

Two years ago, I took on distance as the challenge to raise money for Creating Solutions, riding 200 miles in two days, alone. This time, it's HILLS - with friends!

The Community Vision Bike Team tossed around ideas for this year's fundraiser. The group looked at the list and was taken in by the beauty of Crater Lake. It wasn't until much later we realized what we had done.

The Crater Lake Century will take us through some of the most spectacular scenery in Oregon. Crater Lake is a pristine body of water created in crater of a volcano. In 100 miles, we will climb approximately 6,000 feet. We're hoping the scenery will distract us from the pain - that is, if the snow melts.

The Community Vision Bike Team is a group of talented and commited members of the community of varying fitness levels. I've not been training much since my fundraising ride in 2006, so this is a real challenge. It's all worth it to help defray the costs to bring tangible solutions and ideas to people with disabilites, their families, and those who support them.

Please give generously - make the pain worth it!

Thank you for your support!
Joan
